It's bad enough that "law and economics" was used to justify failure to regulate derivatives markets before the 2008 financial crisis.

But a "law and economics" justification for war crimes and rape? 

That's a bridge too far.

2008年の金融危機の前に、デリバティブ市場の規制を怠ったことを正当化するために「法と経済学」が使われたのは残念だった。

しかし、戦争犯罪やレイプを「法と経済学」で正当化するのは、あまりにも行き過ぎている。

それはあまりにも遠い話だ。
